According to CHAS, the number of individuals in Colorado who either lack health insurance or find it inadequate to cover their needs (underinsured) is more than 1.5 million — one in three people. This demonstrates a need for safety net clinics to provide a wide range of health care services for a significant number of people.
Doctors Care is a Community-Funded Safety Net Clinic located in Littleton, CO. According to its Executive Director Bebe Kleinman, “[t]he safety net, as we continue on, is going to be the better guide.
